The world of GTA VI is shaping up to be an absolute powerhouse, with an open-world environment that promises to keep us captivated for years. Although you may already know that the game will take us back to Vice City, this metropolis is just a small part of what the next installment has to offer.
In reality, GTA VI will encompass the entire fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. Since the latest trailer, fans have been using official images and leaks to map out Leonida, and each new discovery confirms that the map is even larger than we imagined.

Discover New Cities in Leonida on GTA VI
Compelling evidence found on Reddit suggests there will be three major cities to explore in Leonida, along with numerous small towns and vast swathes of swamps, forests, and beaches.
A Reddit user noted, “We will likely have one to three coastal cities, maybe even one big city and a smaller town.” This comment echoes rumors that the game will feature cities inspired by Miami, Orlando, and Atlanta. Vice City, of course, is inspired by Miami.
Another user added, “It’s unlikely we’ll have a full-scale real-world state. It’s more plausible we’ll have multiple cities, many neighborhoods, and extensive wilderness areas.”
The good news is that GTA VI is still on track for a 2025 release, so we don’t have much longer to wait before we can explore Leonida ourselves.
