It looks like the highly anticipated Avalon map, which was meant to launch with Call of Duty Black Ops 6, has already been partially revealed in the current game beta. Although the map, set to officially release in Warzone 2025, is not entirely accessible yet, you can get a sneak peek now in the BO6 beta.
Historically, every title in the Call of Duty series has introduced a new map for its Warzone mode. Think Verdansk ’84 with Cold War, Caldera with Vanguard, and Al Mazrah with Modern Warfare II. Fans had expected Avalon to be available with Black Ops 6, but it seems the new Resurgence map Area 99 will hit the ground first.

Black Ops 6: An Iconic Map Playable Right Now
While the full Avalon map isn’t expected until 2025, sections are already integrated into the BO6 beta. One hint is an Easter egg hidden in Rebirth Island, where a teaser for Avalon briefly appeared in a trailer.
- An extensive datamine in early August 2024 revealed portions of the map, including iconic locations like Firing Range, WMD, and Hacienda.
- Visit the Training Course in the beta, and you’ll be teleported to one of Avalon’s islands, giving you a taste of what the future map will offer.
YouTuber TheTacticalBrit also uncovered Easter eggs in one of the game’s underground zones, where you can discover a map similar to the one found on Rebirth Island. Although the version presented in the Training Course seems small for a complete Warzone mode, leaked information confirms that the final map will be much larger, featuring multiple islands like the one already visible.
Additionally, the beta’s Skyline map is also set on Avalon, allowing you to explore more of its environment and get familiar with its landscape ahead of its official release.
What We Know About Avalon Map in Warzone 2025
According to rumors from Insider Gaming, Avalon should be introduced in Warzone by the end of 2025, alongside an unannounced Call of Duty game that will be a direct sequel to Black Ops 6. However, these details have not been confirmed by Activision, leaving some doubt about the map’s final release. It’s also possible that Avalon could be modified or even canceled before the projected date.
