Modern Warfare 3 players are bummed that the Haunting skins won’t roll over to Black Ops 6. Season 6’s “The Haunting” event introduces spooky skins like Michael Myers and Art the Clown, but unfortunately, these skins will be unusable in multiplayer once Black Ops 6 drops on October 25. This decision frustrates many players who feel they’ve paid for limited-use items.
While these skins will remain available in Warzone, they won’t be transferable to Black Ops 6, unlike the Modern Warfare 2 skins which were usable in MW3. This lack of continuity feels like a “slap in the face” to the community, especially since transferring operators was a beloved feature in the earlier titles.

Why MW3’s Haunting Skins Aren’t Transferable to Black Ops 6: Why Gamers are Upset
Many players had hoped that skins like Michael Myers would transfer to Black Ops 6, especially since the game releases right before Halloween. On Reddit, one user says, “Why give us such a cool skin if we can’t even use it in the next multiplayer in six weeks?” Another player adds, “It would make so much sense to add it to BO6, it would attract even more players.”
In MW3, MW2 skins were transferable because the game was seen as an extension of its predecessor. However, Black Ops 6 offers an entirely new gameplay experience with unique weapons and mechanics, making such transfers impossible.
Despite this, some fans believe that collaborative skins, like those from “The Haunting,” should be exceptions to this rule. Thankfully, players can still use these skins in Warzone after its integration with Black Ops 6 during Season 1, offering some relief to Battle Royale enthusiasts.
