The First Descendant just dropped its first major update, introducing two new playable characters (Luna and Ultimate Valby), a formidable new boss (Gluttony), and a powerful new ultimate weapon (Peace Maker).

This update packs a substantial punch with major fixes, gameplay enhancements, bug corrections, and drop rate adjustments. There’s even more on the horizon, including a new feature to clear out unwanted items and increased freedom in build creation.

Meet the New Descendants and Boss in The First Descendant

First up is Ultimate Valby, an enhanced and slightly different version of the existing Valby Descendant. The Bubble Bullet has been swapped for the Spiral Tidal Wave, a straightforward projectile that can be stacked and fired up to three times in a row. Plus, the Hydro Pressure Bomb propels Ultimate Valby forward to deal significant area damage upon landing.

Next is Luna, an entirely new character who’s likely to appeal to fans of musically-themed heroes like Lucio from Overwatch or Seraphine from League of Legends. Luna brings a rhythmic mechanic into the game, boosting her damage when skills are used in sync with the music.

Additionally, a new Void Intercept boss named Gluttony has been unleashed in hard mode. Defeating Gluttony brings new external components and blueprints for a brand-new Ultimate Weapon.
