The world of GTA VI is shaping up to be absolutely massive, with an open-world universe that promises to keep us engaged for a long time. While you may already know that the game brings us back to Vice City, this iconic metropolis is just a small part of what the next title has to offer.
In fact, GTA VI will take place across the entire fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. Fans have been using official images and leaks since the latest trailer to map out Leonida, with each new discovery confirming that the map is even bigger than anticipated.

Discovering New Cities in Leonida on GTA VI
Compelling evidence found on Reddit suggests there will be three major cities to explore in Leonida, alongside many small towns, vast swamps, forests, and beaches.
A Reddit user noted, “We will likely have one to three coastal cities, maybe a big one and a small one.” This observation echoes previous rumors that the game will feature cities inspired by Miami, Orlando, and Atlanta. Vice City, of course, is inspired by Miami.
Another user added, “It’s unlikely we’ll have a full state at real-world scale. This means instead we’ll have multiple cities, numerous neighborhoods, and large areas of wild terrain.”
The good news is that GTA VI is still on track for a 2025 release, so we don’t have much longer to wait before we can explore Leonida ourselves.
