Valve recently cut off access to stat-tracking sites for its new hero shooter, Deadlock, and the community seems to understand the move. While platforms like Tracklock.gg quickly provided detailed statistics on heroes and matches, Valve believes the game isn’t ready for such in-depth analysis, as it is still in beta.
A Tracklock.gg admin announced on Discord that Valve had implemented stricter rate limits, preventing the tracking of new matches. Previously, Tracklock.gg offered stats like hero pick and win rates, along with a leaderboard for top players.

Valve Cuts Off Deadlock’s Stat Tracking
Despite the sudden halt to stat tracking, the community doesn’t seem too shaken. Given that Deadlock is still in beta, competitive players were already using these stats to create leaderboards and tier lists—a trend Valve wants to curb for now. It’s likely Valve wants to avoid skewing the game’s balance before all its features are fully developed.
The Tracklock team clarified in a message that there’s no need to complain to Valve, reminding everyone that the game is still in beta. They’ll use this time to improve their features so they’ll be ready when Valve offers a suitable solution.
