Since the announcement of the Concord server shutdown, some players have been racing against time to snag the coveted Platinum Trophy. Although the game, developed by Firewalk Studios and published by Sony, has been pulled from PS5 and PC platforms, a dedicated group of enthusiasts is still striving to earn this last accolade before the servers go dark this Friday, just two weeks after its release.
The fun part? Watching these players unleash their creativity to achieve this feat. Earning the Platinum Trophy in Concord means unlocking all other game trophies. Some are simple, like playing a match with a friend, while others are more challenging, like taking down five enemies in a row without dying.
Trophy Objectives in Concord
Players need to defeat 50 opponents with each character (known as “Freegunners”) and reach level 10 with each one to progress. One of the longest to earn, a Silver Trophy, demands reaching a reputation level of 100. After the shutdown news, some players requested an XP boost to speed up their progression. One player, GoodGameKofi, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that they were at level 48 but lacked the time to hit level 100 before the servers closed.
Despite the challenge, players have discovered an unexpected way to boost their progress: repeatedly jumping off the map. This technique is mainly used in Rivalry mode, where each player has only one life, cutting match times and earning XP faster.
However, this method isn’t as effective as some hoped. Another player, Radec, confessed to spending an hour jumping off the map, advancing just one level from 44 to 45, and admitted, “I’m not gonna get that Plat, man.”
Once Concord is pulled, Firewalk and Sony plan to explore other options, hinting that the game might return in the future as a free-to-play model. But if it never comes back, the Platinum Trophy for Concord will remain one of the rarest, with only 14 players unlocking it so far.
