An intriguing bug has been discovered in Apex Legends Season 22, allowing players to wield two different weapons simultaneously – the Mozambique and the P2020. This glitch breaks the usual dual-wielding restrictions, which typically limit players to using two of the same weapon in Akimbo mode.
However, this bug doesn’t offer a significant advantage. Using the two weapons simultaneously is described as clumsy and not very smooth, leading the community to question if this is a viable alternative until Respawn Entertainment fixes it.

A Double-Wielding Bug in Apex Legends Season 22
This bug was discovered by a player on Reddit, named sabre352, who shared a screenshot of their character holding a Mozambique and a P2020 in the game’s firing range. The player mentioned that they are unsure of how the bug was triggered, but they even observed a reload animation for both weapons being used simultaneously.
- Character used: Ballistic
- Weapons involved: Mozambique and P2020
Players speculate that this bug is tied to the use of the character Ballistic, introduced in Season 22. According to some community members, the glitch could occur even if one of the weapons isn’t designed for Akimbo use. Despite this, sabre352 states that the glitch does not enhance weapon performance, making the firing irregular and inaccurate, with a slower rate of fire than using two P2020 or Mozambique in regular Akimbo mode.
Other Bugs in Season 22
This bug emerges as other issues have also been reported in Season 22 of Apex Legends. For example, a bug concerning Newcastle’s Mobile Shield has been discovered. Although an upgrade is supposed to increase the movement speed of this tactical ability, players have noticed that the enhancement isn’t working correctly, thereby reducing the effectiveness of this strategic update.
We hope that Respawn Entertainment will quickly address these bugs. While they are not necessarily critical issues, they can become frustrating for the players experiencing them and potentially discourage some from continuing to play throughout the rest of Season 22.
